From the Touffou forest to the bocage and marshlands along the river Ognon, Le Bignon offers a great diversity of atmospheres.
The Prés du Bourg municipal park
This is an ideal green space to wander about : a place for families, with a small lake, walking paths, picnic tables and a leisure area for children.
Arboretum
The park also hosts a botanical garden with numerous plant species : 154 trees and shrubs form all over the world.
You will be charmed by its varied colours and its uncommon shapes and leaves, changing with seasons.
HERITAGE
Located not far from the abbey of Villeneuve, the Château de l'Epinay, property of the Ternay family from 1872, was rebuilt by Louis Joseph de Mélient (lord of Augeoire and Vigneau) on the site of a castle destroyed in 1794. There is a private chapel built in 1830 and the coat of arms of the Mélient family.
The stables of the Château de l'Epinay date from 1830. They can be visited as part of special events such as the European Heritage Days.
